How does your car sound between 6000 and 7000 rpm with the Roush? I ask because even the stock system sounds great in that band.
it sounds better than stock more growl and louder not deafening loud but definitely louder than stock.

Man, you have me juuust about talked into the Roush axle-back. Still, I need to know what Shotzy is getting so I'll know I picked out the right exhaust for me. (he's already done all of the mods I want to do so far!)

The only exhaust axle-back I like better than the Roush is a muffler delete.

And it seems to be the best bang for the buck out there, especially since you can get it for less than roush sells it for plus free shipping.

I'd like to see Roush do an identical axle-back for the V6.

Thanks a lot for the info!

I put mine on a few days ago...they sound incredible! If you short shift and keep the revs down, you can keep them semi quiet but when you open it up, you'd better make sure that theres no cops around or your gonna get yanked. Ive had more people try to race me in the last two days...lol...its hard to drive it without it sounding like you're trying to race someone...I had the wife drive it up and down the street so I could hear it and it sounds awesome! Definitely a "must have". Now comes the Procharger next week....stay tuned!

Sorry to revive an older thread, but felt like it was better than posting a new one.

Had these installed as part of the new car buy. I was expecting them to be somewhat loud at start up until the car settled down and loud when going into the upper rpm range (3K plus).

These are definitly loud at start up with a nice deep rumble as they settle down, but they also get loud anywhere from 2K rpm and up which was unexpected and I am going to have decide if I can live with what I percieve is going to get a LOT of attention from nearby cars and neighbors. In 6th gear it has a nice steady rumble not what I would call drone. I do find myself short shifting while in town which is easier since the annoying skip shift has been removed with the Ford Racing tune.

They remind me of a cruiser type motorcycle with they way it sounds when going through the gears even with the slight gurgle/sucking sound as you put in the clutch to change gears.

I recorded a simple exhaust video/sound clip with the Roush exhaust tips installed on my 2011 Mustang GT/CS. It is a great sounding system and has no drone at cruising. Enjoy!

You won't be disappointed I have mine and absolutely love it. The best part is once you get used to it you know when to hit the gas and how hard to get the sound you want almost like playing an instrument . LOL

If anyone is interested, my Roush mufflers are for sale. They had 200 miles on them before replaced with the GT500 mufflers (guess I am too old for the Roush ones).

They are in my office, packed in the GT500 muffler box and ready to ship UPS ground.

$300 takes them.

Regards,

Sean
