I just had mine installed a few hours ago and they are amazing. The SYNC works just fine as Roush said it would. All of the noise is from the back of the car the way it should be. There is ZERO drone. These mufflers were worth the wait for me which has been since August 9th.

They need to take the marbles out of the mufflers.

I'm seriously considering the Roush axleback exhaust, looking for a nice deep tone with No Drone, the stock exhaust is too quite but not interested in anything too loud. Most reviews seem positive but one post on another forum spoke like they might be too loud. Would love to hear more reviews, anyone else have these that could provide their opinion?

How is the volume? I'm getting ready to choose between these or the Ford Racing Sport mufflers. I just want to make sure it's not too loud for normal driving.

They are on the louder side at WOT but really tame when driving at normal speeds. Ive put some miles on them and really like them.

I picked up a Magnaflow catback for my C4 5years ago for $420 and they sucked. The drone drove me crazy.

With the Roush axlebacks, you are paying for engineering too. They are great. The only thing I'm not happy about is there is no more stealth mode. I can live with that.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but all the "mufflers" are on the Roush axle backs are is open resonance chambers, correct? There's no packing material or anything like that in them.

True! On top of that, the Roush axle-back is much less expensive than Bassani, Borla and Magnaflow!

Well, if it's true that the Roush axle-back is nothing more than an open chamber that makes sense that it's a lot cheaper.

I do remember the old days, though... I paid $350 shipped for a Magnaflow cat-back in 2003. A year later prices bumped to $450 and now a typical cat-back will run you at least $1,000. Materials costs have definitely jumped, though, so a lot of that increase is warranted.

I still say the Mustang crowd has it good, though. There's enough volume to keep prices lower than they are for other cars (like my old 370Z.)

What was your installation cost for these? I'm definitely getting the Roush axle-back, once my 2011 GT arrives - thanks!

My install cost $75.00 or roughly one hour labor rate at most shops. The stock ones pop right off and the new mufflers use four clamps to install. Adjusting the tips properly take longer than the removal and install of the mufflers. Hope this helps.

My Ford dealer quoted 11/2 to 2 hours labour. Ended up at 2 hours of course.

1900 RPM, windows up, 110 KPH (68 MPH), 6th gear, 3.55 rear, very quiet. But any throttle blips or higher speeds brings on more noise. Doesn't seem to be any drone and okay for reasonably long drives. Very loud on road courses at the higher RPMs with lots of barking and pops on the over-run. Love it. And I'm an old geezer.

Noisy on start-up. You'll scare the neighbours. But quiets down when the RPM settles back to normal idle. Be careful when accelerating up or down through the gears in the vicinity of cops. It's got me paranoid now. You will love underpasses.

I think they are now on back-order. Paid $380 Cnd.
Be aware that the first 100 shipped were missing the clamps for the chrome tailpipes. These can be obtained cheaply at any muffler shop if you happen to have one of these sets.

Did I mention they are LOUD?

Cheers.

Had mine installed by my dealer on friday charged me 2 hours to install but they are right on the money, they are even and centered.

These things are sick I loved driving the car before now its like a musical instrument.

Soon as you start it up it sounds old school loud but subdued rumble until the car idles down then you don't really her them. Driving around when the car is at low idle they are quiet as soon as the RPMs start going up it sounds beautiful. Watch out when you punch it,the thing sounds like it can eat a small village.

This is the way the car should sound.

For 375.00 you cant go wrong.

Sounds great, except for the village-eating part. If I could have all that but not be *quite* as loud at WOT I'd be all over it.

How does your car sound between 6000 and 7000 rpm with the Roush? I ask because even the stock system sounds great in that band.
