Joe, congrats on the order. It will be a beauty in race red. Picking the color that right for you is one of the most difficult decisions in the process.

My first order was a race red 2012. I got confused and almost changed the color to lava red... Needless to say I cancelled the order for a F150 during the time. My wife liked the race red better. I was a bit scared of it because my 1996 red Prelude's paint did not take the sun that well. The good thing about the race red was the red and cashmere 401a option which I had ordered.

When I got the red candy 2013, it was more about the availability than anything... I had to get a mustang with the track pack and security pack at least. This was the closest that I could find in my area.

 

Just today I drove my new race red to a garage and parked behind a 2011 red candy. I took a photo to compare the two. Both are very nice.

I have a 2012 candy. For some reason, I'm loving the grabber blue and the gotta have it green in the 13 models. Ford is messing with my head.....
