How hard is it to keep clean?
I have a black Mustang GT right now and living in Southern California it gets dusty as hell. I've heard white cars are almost as difficult to keep clean, but it seems to me that white can't be quite as difficult as black?

At least with white you won't see any swirls or scratches...or at least they won't look as bad. At times i wish I would have gotten white or silver, but nothing looks as good as a black car when they are clean, it's just keeping them that way. Since it has gotten colder here and we had some rain the dust has not been as bad.....only a few more days and mine gets put away until next spring...

Just after a full detail session, my PW will never look nearly as good as a black car.
On the other hand, I can go 3 weeks without washing and not look horrible.

White cars are going to keep the scratches from appearing as bad and the dust won't show up as bad. but I agree with everyone else if you keep it clean and when it's all shined up black looks the absolute best...white can look **** good but not near as good.

I agree. I have a 2012 white Mustang and have had a couple other white cars. The white cars have always been very easy to care for. My truck is dark blue, and it's a nightmare. It shows every spec of dust that hits it and has swirls all over. I have to buff it at least once a year to get rid of the swirls, and they start coming back within a month. Don't even get me started on taking care of my recently totaled black Civic. I just replaced it with a light blue Focus and have to wash the new car half as much.

Yeah, I live in San Diego so I rarely ever have to worry about mud, snow, rain, etc. Mainly just dust. Do any of you guys use a California Car Duster? It seems to work well for dust, but I never know if it's adding any swirl or scratch marks?

White and silver are by far the easiest colors to keep looking clean. I have only washed my white car (not daily driven) about a half dozen times in about 7 months. Black looks great for about 10 minutes after you wash it. White will look good for much longer.

I've had a white and black mustang and the white shows up dirt and mud and other stuff that the tires kick up ALOT. However 1 good wash and she's as good as new. Black showed up every **** thing and then you got swirls and god forbid a rock hits the paint the chip will stick out like a sore thumb.
