Got my estimate done today 797$ to replace center and shifter. It's actually the third car fixed at this ford dealer from the same issue. It will be 6 weeks till they get the parts so I guess I'll have to look at this problem for awhile
Wow! $800 and 6 weeks?! Nobody has any console covers in-stock, I guess?
I sure hope Yankee CC holds up their end and pays for it! They really should redesign or drop that product. Apparently they sell enough of them that they can afford to pay for the ones that leak...?

I'm susprised to be the first one to mention this (unless I missed it), but I have read on numerous air fresheners where it says specifically on the label..."do not allow freshener to touch any plastic or similar surfaces", or something to that effect. I assume to protect themselves from paying for accidents like these. I had an air freshener damage the dashboard of my Honda years ago, after it sat in the heat leaning on it. I guess Yankee is just a glutton for punishment, or run by morons. Either way, if you can get it fixed for minimal cost, I would say you lucked out! Good luck, I hope your baby gets fixed soon!
Well that's the thing on these it doesn't have a warning and I didn't have it touching anything it for some reason leaked when the sun was hitting it and it leaked. Yankee said they will be removing them from shelves because it's been a problem not just with my car but with many others.
Wow - thanks for the warning! I'm glad you posted in this thread - I use the Yankee car jars in my GB and I might have missed it otherwise. I'll be sure to stick with the paper version and skip the gels.
Good luck fighting Yankee Candle. Try enlisting your local TV stations's consumer reporter.

I am surprised there are so many stinky Mustangs out there that need air fresheners. Personally, I can't smell anything after I douse myself in Mustang cologne. I sometimes bath in it. It is actually cheaper than water in California.
