No you don't burn it it just hangs off the mirror instead of paper it's gel inside of a plastic thing.

It's not a hole in the dash that's just the plastic showing through without paint

Good luck, and don't hesitate to ask for help from the members on the forum. There is a lot of good information on here.

Good luck!
My thoughts exactly. You could always find someone a bit more comfortable with the swap than yourself and have them do it. Beer and pizza are always good ways to pay for services.

I've taken that piece out of my car enough times to do it in my sleep. It's about a 15 min job when you have to take the shifter boot off, and possibly the ambient lighting (if equipped).

PS - going back to Ltngdrvr's comments, lighten up dude. You really need to take a step back from this forum if you're going to be such a ***** to everyone. Most of us know this isn't your first time being a dick to a member, so give it a rest, or go hang out under the bridge where you belong.

I wouldn't be able to do it myself for sure. Beer and food does seem to always be a good form of payment huh? Well I Yankee doesn't turn out to fix this problem I may be on here asking where and who to take it to. The part is like 250$ so if I got a quote of 500$ that seems like alot for a job that is like 15 min!

Yes it does. They were taking advantage of you for that price. I used to work at a stereo shop and like Overboost said, this is just an in your sleep repair. I still can't believe they quoted you so much. You might even go to an install shop and ask them, it might be $40 an hour but then you're only out $290 or so MAX.

That really tweaks me. A buddy of mine I worked with at that same shop had a smoking hot girlfriend that the Honda shop kept trying to take advantage of like she was an idiot. I've had quite a few riled up phone calls to shop managers when my wife gets quotes sometimes. I'm trying to keep my calm these days...center my chi if you will.

Side note, I was doing an alarm install in a Celica and I burnt a very small and unnoticeable section of her e-brake. I instantly went out to tell her what had happened and that I was ordering a new e-brake, out of my pocket. Had her bring the car back in and I had her done in 15 minutes. Center console completely removed. I had both my boss and her boyfriend on my ***. I wanted to beat them both with the old e-brake. She was cool about it and really didn't even care. Whataduche. Sorry. Moving on.

Yeah, I've had mine apart so many times it's not even fun anymore... I can't see the 2010+ being any harder.

Where in SJ are you?

Welcome to The Mustang Source Nicole.

I had a paper tree style air freshener in my fire proof lock box that i keep insurance papers and copies of my divorces, etc. Some kind of crap came out of the paper air freshener and ruined some of my papers. Now i just cut open the top of the wrapper and leave the tree air freshener in the original wrapper. Smells good and no more mess .
