Sorry man. I have been down with a wicked cold and then had to drive to Atlanta to collect my sons from their visit with their mom. Brutal 16 hour up and back trip...... No I didn't take the Shelby. It was cold out and then it rained for most of my trip back once I reached the Florida border.

 

OK, feel better. Your new Shelby looks awesome. Don't change the flat-black stripes right away, give them a chance to grow on you. Then you can decide later. I think you made such a great trade. And I'm following along in your other thread, too. The 'wow' factor of the Shelby is powerful, you don't have to explain yourself to me, brother...I've always wanted one!

Good for you man. I love my GT and have been bitten by the HP / torque of the 302. I understand what drove you to do this. It was a wise move. Many will spend more on mods but never have a Shelby. If my dealer had a Shelby vert, I'd be right there with you.

 

Yeah stripes look a little messed up, I'd redo them too. I hope one day I can get my hands on a shelby. Stripe delete looks nice too, especially on silver and white.

I added the 2012 lighted / garage remote visors to the car today. I was not sure if i was going to have to run some wiring. When i pulled the headliner down....PRESTO!!! the connections were taped up into the harness. I never noticed before how ridiculous the OEM "hood bulge" visor looked until I added in the new ones.

I also bought an OEM Shelby car cover from an SVTPerformance member for a very good price!! Now just waiting on my new stripes.

 

Every time I look at your avatar, you've got a new car. Congrats, it looks awesome! My vote for stripes goes for black/white PP stripes. Also, get some Recaros in that car ASAP!

I'm on the hunt for some Recaro seats now. The stock seats are so uncomfortable compared to the Recaros.

I went to the Ford dealer this morning to get my driver's seat cover replaced. They had a 2013 GT500....all black with 5k miles they took on trade. I was tempted!!! It was very menacing looking....

If anyone might be interested PM me and I'll give the info for the dealer / salesman.

Dangit. I think I'm going to try to get dad to go in on a nice performance car to share, instead of buying it outright by myself at this point. He hasn't had a sports car in a long time and I think it would be a good endeavor for us. I want glass roof though haha.
