2011 Shelby

Here are pics of my 2011 Shelby i just picked up on 12/23/2012. I was at the dealer a few weeks ago to price out a super-charger for the 2013 GT. i saw the Shelby there and it got me to thinking what it would cost me out of pocket to upgrade from the GT to the Shelby. I was debating because of losing my warranty on the GT vs stepping unto the Shelby and having a warranty. Dealer added in a 6yr/100k mile warranty that is a true Ford ESP plan.

the car was originally a stripe delete car but flat black stripes got added somewhere along the way. I'm not crazy about them and will most likely pull them off and add the SVTPP stripes to it.

Here she is.....

Not a **** thing wrong with those stripes. Better IMO than the skinny.

Is that a mod that gives the gauges a different color?

No, its in the MyColor menu. Red, white and blue like the Mustang tri-bar emblem.

LOL, well different strokes for different folks. I got the narrow stripe idea for my 2013 GHIG from my love of the SVTPP stripes.

The red, white and blue MyColor is pretty cool.

That's what mine is set to, but I never drive it at night, lol.

Which SVTPP stripes are you thinking about going with? Red with black accents like would have come on it?

Looks so good, doesn't matter which stripe color/pattern you choose!

I'm probably not the best person to ask about that, I'm not a big fan of the Grabber Blue shades. I didn't even care much for the KR because of the stripe color.

I actually think the black looks really good on it. But the standard red/black PP stripes looked really good on the silver.

I also liked the PP side stripes better because they were solid without that break in the center of them like the standard stripes and the ones you posted above. See the pics I posted of mine in the other thread, versus the standard side stripes.

I also think a metallic charcoal color stripe would look good on it, but I've always been partial to silver and gray together. You might look into something like that.

Your car looks great! I think your idea with the Grabber Blue stripes would look great. I do like the black stripes on it now though, GB might make it more unique if you are into that. I love your old car...that would have been hard for me to give up! I'm a fan of bright colors on cars though.
I believe the red, white, and blue gauge lights is unique to the GT500 so that may be why the GT owners haven't seen it. I am also using it!

Good luck with the new ride.
The stripe kit is not OEM, don't blame you for getting rid of it, the rear looks bad !! ( section missing around the lettering )

Congrats on the new ride. I like the stripes you have now but I understand wanting to have the narrow stripes. Mine is a stripe delete, but I plan on getting the white thin stripes with black accents next summer. It is the only choice of stripe the car would have come with from the factory.

Besides the stripes, are there any other modifications done to the shelby?

No other mods. Actually the dealership had the stripes installed to help try and sell it. It was a car they sold and then took in on trade for a new F-250. What was nice is all the service records for it were at the dealer, which happens to be the same dealer I use and have used for the past 5 years.

I like the stripes... Pull the H E L B, stripe the deck lid, and 3M the letters back on for an OEM look. I'd add the flat black stripes/GT500 badging on the rockers as well...

Also, the interior will reinforce the OEM theme with the black stripes. Add any other color stripes without changing the seats, then it'll look like the stripes were added, however, most will never know... and you may not even care- just food for thought.

BTW- Congrats on the car!

I like the stripes but I think they need to be redone. Even better would be painted black stripes.

I say metallic gold PP stripes with black outline, powder coat the calipers the same gold, with black Brembo lettering. It'd be different, but pretty cool. Idk why but I just came up with that in my head when I saw your customizer pic with the blue stripes.
