Tony,
I have to say that your Mustang is definitely my favorite on the forums!
I just got my Mustang, so I'm starting to think about upgrades, but I live in Japan and will have to stick to smaller things right now as shipping from America can get really expensive...

So far, the only thing I have done was install MGP caliper covers... I know some people dissapprove, but I think they look great! I love your red covers behind those wheels!

Thanks for your inspiration!

Thanks for the kind words man.

Yea I ended up taking the rear covers off- as I got too much scratching from the connect plate... But have since kept the front on. Plus it collects mass amounts of brake dusts so it keeps the rim that much cleaner.

Mod away, once that bug bites it's hard to stop. Cool stuff btw having that 5.0 in Japan- gotta be a rarity.

Yeah! I had a heck of a time getting the rears adjusted. They were both rubbing and making noise and it took about 6 hours to remedy! So far so good though... Were yours making noise too?

The 5.0 is really rare in Japan! My dealer said that there are only 3 in the Kyoto, Shiga, Nara area! Ive never seen one other than mine though!
So many people check it out because they've never seen one in person!

New Tires: Hankook Ventus V12 Evo

As many know- It's a typical non (to light...) track summer/performance tire. Car's currently at the dealer having them put on, along with the last- @ss to elbow- inspection before warranty goes up. (drove in on 35.6). And a oil change.

Can't knock the all season stock Pirelli's - great tire combo (put about 27K on them.) But hoping I'll see some differences in the Hankooks.

Well, the time has come.

After a transmission issue in late November (snapped input shaft). I was scheming up new trades.

initially I thought, I'd look at a 2012 GT. But I wanted a change from the norm.

With that, I end up with a 2012 Lincoln MKZ AWD. Tuxedo Black, black interior. Ultimate Package. Very pleased overall. I'm enjoying the ride and the features. Few exterior mods coming for it; Tints, LEDS, Hoen Fogs, Rims at a later time, few other things perhaps.

I'll probably get a thread going in Gen Vehicles sometime soon on it.

So thanks for the all the views and kind words along the way.

I'll look to be back perhaps once the 2015 is out!!

It will definitely be missed tho! Had some fun times!

I would like to ask a question to the 2010 stang owners. Im just curious and mean no disrespect when I ask this question. Why did you guys or girls buy a 2010 when the 2011 stangs got massive performance upgrades, via 5.0 412 hp, 3.7 v6 305 hp all for around the same price.

Respectfully, why would someone pay 32k for a 2010 Gt when you could pay 32k for a 2011 Gt and get 412 hp compared to the 315 hp. Why pay 24 k for a v6 2010 when you could of bought a 2011 v6, 305 hp for same price and keep up with the 10 Gt.

It's the same reason why folks buy the 2012 GT500... When arguably the greatest mustang is in the works- 2013 GT500... It's a cool car. I first and foremost liked the shell and the new interior. I had my 2010 for a solid 8-9 months before the first 2011 was even out. That and the numbers weren't even close to finalization for release for the 2011. The 4.6 was a proven power adder and the idea of living in the present appealed to me. I for one have no regrets owning a 2010.

Fair enough. Thanks for your insight.

. . .
I was an adult for a while, but now I'm a kid again. Don't wait 30 years like I did!

This is an old question, but I just noticed it so here goes:

1) you could not get a 2011 GT for the same price as a 2010 GT; the 2011 was more like $8K more than my 2010 (I paid $24K for mine right when the 2011's were about to hit the lots, very lightly used and in like-new condition)

2) I drove a 2011 V6 before buying the 2010 V8, and the decision became very easy. The 2011 V6 does not offer the same performance or experience as the 2010 V8. The sound alone is worth at least a few thousand more. The mid-range torque of the 4.6 V8 is substantially better than the 3.7 V6; my car is consistently faster than the later V6's that I come across on the road track.
