I picked this up in June 2019,2 weeks after i brought it home i tripped going up the stairs and injured my knee to the point i can't drive this at the moment and she sits collecting pollen and dust. the car is completely stock first thing i need before the snow comes is a cover for it was looking at covercraft but they want $523usd and a styling bar to make sure the roof doesn't collapse during the snow, not sure if what previous owner did to it but i guess i will figure it out once i can get to it. picture in front of garage is where it's been parked since June 25,2019 i have put 600KM or 375 miles on it i tried to sell it as i don't know how long this knee will take to heal but my doctor says to stay away from low vehicles and try to go with a truck, suv, van. sorry about picture sizes but my s9+ doesn't know any better lol only thing i have done to it is replace the running pony lights under the mirrors
Nice Car! Sorry to hear about your knee. Hope it heals and you can get back to normal and enjoy your beauty! Nice pictures!
Cover price seems a bit spendy. I know your car is not a Roush, but the Roush covers will fit your car and are made by CoverKing. Might check CoverKing directly, I needed to contact them and they were great to work with. From what I can tell the Stormproof cover should be under $350. That looks to be the best for serious winter weather. Not sure about shipping. Your can find the cover at the link below.
They also have a light bar that might be what you were taking about for additional support. Here are a couple of links that might be helpful. Good luck, and hang in there!
yeah i have a parts person that told me he can get it from wolf and i see that covercraft and wolf are the same company so i thought that maybe buying from the manufacturer it would be cheaper but apparently not and once you get the conversion to canadian funds it adds approx. 190 dollars so my price went from 518 to 681 i wish i had family in the blaine area of washington state
I shopped around for my cover before I bought it. Roush site cover prices were pretty good back then and seem to be competitive now. I would take their part number and search the web. If you look around for the Roush parts they are all over at various vendor sites and likely will be less. Watch the shipping costs though.
Checked the Cover King site https://www.carcoverusa.com/coverkin...-car-cover.php
Looks like a cover can be had for $320 US, or about $421 Canadian. There is only a $10 charge for shipping. Not sure about shipping to Canada. I would contact them.
I have the Silverguard cover. I have used it every winter since the first in 2013/2014, but I store my car in the garage. Cover is still like new, but has not seen the elements. It is supposed to work outside and be gentle on the finish. It is a nylon parachute like fabric and seems very durable, but not sure how it would keep the elements away for the paint. If I were storing out side I would lean towards the Stormproof cover.
Here is another light bar that is made by a great Mustang Accessory builder. I would not doubt they may make the Roush version as well.
thanks for the information, i did order one from covercraft on their black friday sale got it for 420.30usd only to be informed that they processed my order and the next day i was informed that they don't have enough material to complete my order and they would have more material by Jan 6,2020 so that means that i probably won't get it till march due to customs. so i cancelled the order and just in 1 day the exchange rate i lost 30 dollars i guess it's my loss, anyways i kinda gave up on the car and it's sitting in the rain,frost,sun,etc...maybe near the spring i will get back into it and it doesn't have any mold in it i thought with the cover i could leave the windows down a quarter inch in case the battery dies but i guess that a no go now so i am probably going to have it detailed in the spring and put it up for sale as i just don't have a place for it and with a bummed knee my doctor has told me to avoid sports cars and to try and settle for a van or truck in the near future
