Man, you're supposed to polish those tips up before taking pics to post!

Steeda CAI / BBK TB Pics

Totally recommended the Steeda CAI and tuner combo through BrenSpeed.
Performance went up nicely above 3.5+ rpm range. The shift points are flawless, and I feel a significant performance improvement. With my auto I chirp the wheels in 2nd and 3rd gear.

The engine note is a ton more throaty and matched with the exhaust it really displays a good sound. And the fit under the hood is snug and doesn't force up on the hood to look off kilter. Overall I'm very happy.

MGP Caliper Covers.

Some hate them, some don't mind them- I just wanted some color behind the wheel. The reason I decided to go for them rather than paint, was the caliper it's self is rather ugly, and I wanted a smooth look. So the covers offered the best compromise- rather than shelling out 1.5k-2k for a big brake set. Total install was maybe 30 min- and the covers are far more durable and dissipate heat better over stock... Got them fro $170- which wasn't bad either.

Not the best pics- as the car is filthy, especially the tires, but figured I'd throw them on here. I'll take some others another time once I give a good wash & wax. But I'm happy with them, when the car is moving the color behind it really stands out.

Other upgrades on the mind:
The GT500 diffuser still...
Steeda's Pully System
Cams

JLT Oil Separator

In part to this thread: https://themustangsource.com/f669/jl...nstall-484044/

I installed my own JLT Oil separator, fit and finish I'm very pleased with and from what I read/saw in the above thread, it should work quite nicely.

Washed and Waxed!! :D

Haven't been able to clean the 'stang in a while, so it felt good dedicating a few hours to washing/waxing it up! Beautiful day for it as well.

Hmm the painted sidemarkers make the HIDs look better for some reason. Your car is lowered too right?

^ Yea funny what those little side markers can do to the overall look...
I wish it was- I've been looking at lowering kits tho- but since it's a winter car as well, probably not... Unless I rack up some more $ and get something- which I have been considering...

Ah I see. Maybe it's just the angle then. Looks like it is a little lower. You could do GT500 PP springs. They lower it about 0.5"...do that and 0.5" spacers on the front wheels, 0.75" on the rear and it would be ...

Not that it isn't already

Yea I think the angle and shadows are doin a lil trick.
Ha, more mod ideas! Just what I need... Decisions... decisions...
Actually tho, I never put much thought into the spacers... that might not be a bad idea.
We shall see!

Thanks man

Thumbs up

Update of sorts:

Few days ago I went in for my 3rd oil change and am currently sitting at 15,021 miles. Not bad for 10 months work... My tires got rotated as well, as it was I had 8mm on the fronts and 3mm at the rears ... So those got swtiched around. Funny, as 5,2xx miles were done on my winter set. So I'll investigate a new batch, but still have some time...

My Steeda U/D pulleys have been great! Very pleased, Revs a lot quicker and felt a lil bit of a performance upgrade- nothing ground breaking but def an improvement. Get better gas mileage! Set at 60mph I easily touch 30-31mpg. and overall upped by 1.5mpg or so. PLUS no more drone at 1.8-2k with these! None at all actually...

Otherwise just enjoying the car! I'm looking at keeping it N/A and will now start considering and researching cams and longtubes as my next upgrade... then work on a few more exterior things...

Thanks Starbai!

New Front end

So... as the title implies, I'm getting a new front end. this last week here in the midwest we had some epic flash flooding, and I had to make a decision on which puddle err... Pond... to drive through in order to get home on day one of it. One way is about a 50 foot hill going down and then back up, so I didn't even attempt to go look at that... the other was more gradual (still was up to the bumper tho) and I made it though once safely. Then in front of me about a mile it was blocked off by police as it was even worse apparently- so I had to turn around and go through it again... ugh... here is where I heard the crunch and all that went with it... Never a good sound. So took the side streets home- about an hour drive. As opposed to the 10 min highway (which was blocked). All in all a bad day...

So the front lower valance was destroyed. Just gone. Bumper was dinged, bent and scratched. And the next day on my way to the dealer the car overheated... Awesome. So I had to get it towed there... (called Ford's Roadside assistance for a free tow- totally recommend if you're ever in need of it.)

Turns out, I blew the fuse to the radiator fan. And other than that there's nothing wrong mechanically. Which was great to hear.

Cosmetically however- whole new front bumper, aero shield, valance, and wheel well panels.

So, I have on tap switching to the CS front valance as well as the aero shield which switched on the 11. I'm not doing the fogs in the lower grille though.

So while I'm pist off, I chalked it up to 'stuff' happens. Plus just watching the news many had it far worse than me, their cars flooded and totaled, or getting far more extensive body work.

All in all I'm looking at $1500... (setting a few mods off for a bit).

In the mean time the dealer gave me an 08 Focus, thing is quite the difference in gas mileage!!
I'll post up pics when it's all said and done.

Insurance wouldn't cover it? Sounds like a bittersweet day though!

Yea, to go through insurance wouldn't be all that beneficial. So no biggie.
And yea, bitter sweet indeed! I get to mod as I repair!
