Back in the saddle again!!!
I miss my Yellow Blaze V6 too, and I'm not kidding. It was a great car in its own right.
Had my job situation been different at the time last year I wouldn't have traded it and would still have the '12 V6 and wouldn't have bought this GT.
Who knows, maybe all for the best, at least I hope so.

The V6 Brethren or maybe just me has no problem with you upgrading.. Yes I said it upgrading. If I could have swung the car I have in a GT I would have. That said it was only two things that kept me from a GT.. The overall cost to buy and the overall cost to use as a daily driver. Don't get me wrong 100000^ satisfied with the Mustang I currently own. Congrats on your new 14...
That's right, Outlaws right? I decided on the Kooks. A little more $ but know I won't be able to live with any drone. Some guys like the drone, they like hearing the car at speed etc. Post a video or something once you get it installed.
And what is drone anyway?
It's a loud exhaust, you put it on so you can hear it, right?
We'll see.
I was watching a youtube vid last night that was a BOSS with the outlaws and the restrictors removed from the side pipes and it had me thinking that I might have to add those side pipes too, sure did sound good!
Drone is an annoying resonance at certain rpm's with certain axle-backs/exhaust combo's, so its not the same as having a loud nice sounding exhaust that you like listening to.
So is the difference between the V6 and V8 mind blowing? I keep wondering if I should get the 8, but wonder if it is worth the extra $6 or 7 grand. I know it's much faster but is it just a totally different experience? The one thing really holding me back is i really can't warm up to the front end of the 13/14..no offense to those who have it, I realize beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but so far I just keep wishing I would have gone with the 12 V8 and been done with it. I could probably afford it now but 2 years ago it was a little too much. Then again maybe as i get older it's better to have something that is a little harder to get in trouble with.....seen too many video's online if people losing control due to the greater low end torque with the V8...
Plus, I'm old school, so maybe I just don't expect it to be perfect and smooth with no inside resonance.

It is an order of magnitude faster than my '12 V6, and of course the handling is as well, being a Brembo car with it's upgraded suspension compared to a base V6 suspension.
I just filled the gas tank for the first time since leaving the dealer. The dash readout was at 19.5 mpg, the calculated mileage came to 19.28 mpg with very little highway running and a lot of playing. I have my doubts as to the dealer actually filling the tank all the way, I figure this is why the mileage is below what the readout showed. We'll see where it's at on the next fill.
