OH MY!! Aussie V8 Coyote Powered Focus Race cars up and Running

http://www.speedcafe.com/2014/01/15/...est-focus-v8s/

Featuring Ford’s 5.0 litre Coyote V8, the cars are closely based on Pace Innovations’ Global Touring Car concept, developed initially for the South African market.

Three of the cars will race at Bathurst in an invitational class before embarking on a tour of international endurance events.

The first car enjoyed a brief shakedown at Norwell last week while the Ipswich test will mark the first time the second chassis turns a wheel.

Do they still have to clutch with those sequential gearboxes? Btw my T56 with MGW and the center console removed, is almost as loud as that

That's what I thought, but it looked like his left leg was moving on up and downshifts. Maybe he still does it out of habit or for timing...

In the second video it does seem like the driver is using the clutch on his down shifts. Regardless it was another excuse to watch the videos again!

Now THIS should be offered as a conversion kit in Ford Racing's catalog. A more than worthy follow up to the original Focus V8 swap. $$$$$, I know but

The Motec software has been developed to accommodate an electric steering rack

I wonder if this has anything to do with the steering wheel position sensor on the column?
