2013 Roush MPG
My '14 GT was getting around 21-22MPG on regular unleaded the way it was being driven. We expected that we might get similar with the '13 Roush because we have seen where some people are getting better gas mileage with the tune, if they can keep their foot out of the throttle, and the use of premium. The '14 GT had 3.31 gears and the Roush has 3.73. If all things were equal, the '14 would get better mileage due to the gears, but the Roush has a tune. We're getting around 17MPG with the Roush.
I have a friend that has a 2005 Roush Stage 2, so no supercharger. His mileage is around 13-14MPG. I know the 2005 GTs got better mileage than that, so my question is related to the tune. Has anyone replaced their tune with a better one, that might've given better gas mileage or even better performance? I've heard a few say that the Roush tune on the new cars is not the best.
