Why is the Cobra emblem on the wrong side of the grille?

Why is the Cobra emblem on the wrong side of the grille? I know they started in 2010 so I'm sure this question has been answered already, but I couldn't find it.

From: London, ON. Canada
It's on the wrong side for North American roads, but it's the correct side for those in the UK.
