Voiding the warranty on an '11 GT 500 at MD Speed Shop
One of our long time customers sold his 600 RWHP '08 GT that we built for him. He then told us that he had an '11 GT 500 on order and he wanted us to order and install some parts and dyno tune it for him when he got it. He had it long enough to put 400 miles on it and dropped it off at our shop.
The laundry list inlcudes: Ford Racing 2.9 Whipple supercharger, Kooks LT headers, catted mid-pipe, Ford Racing Cobra Jet driveshaft loop, aluminum driveshaft, MGW shifter, larger intercooler reservoir, larger radiator overflow tank and our custom dyno tune.
Take a look at the pics- more to come

What's with the seats sitting on the roof of the car?
Oh, and that's a nice "Shinoda Boss" you got over there. Is that a 96?
Edit: Correction. I did a quick bit of research and I think it is a 95 Teal Blue. Would that be correct?

You should be fine as long as you don't over-rev it a bunch. We've built a lot of 720+ RWHP GT 500s

Most guys spending $6k on a blower upgrade, and another few thousand on parts, aren't worried about their engine warranty. A built block is much cheaper than that. Ford isn't stupid enough to void the warranty on the whole car over a Ford Racing part, but I'm sure the drivetrain isn't covered. A built short block is probably next on the laundry list, if they want to crank it up over the base 725 crank HP. The stock engine with a good tune is going to take 700-800rwhp with no problem, unless you have a factory defect. The FRPP tune seems to work very well out of the box, but for the other mods he'll need some tweaking.
Good luck with the car, it's sick! I have the FRPP 2.9L 725HP kit on my 2011 and it's NASTY! There's no traction even in 4th gear in the higher RPM's. I have the FRPP package and the tires are useless with the extra power.

You are correct it's a '95. Supposedly it's the last Boss package made and Larry Shinoda passed away before this one was finished. We are converting it back to fuel injection. It has a built stroker engine in that Bill Elliott owned.

Chris, what is the max rpm these engines can live with. In a short term operation such as 1/4 drag racing.

High RPMs aren't good for the GT 500 5.4 even though they will still make power in the high RPM range I wouldn't recommend shifting much past the factory redline.
