The traction issues are not just from a dig though. My buddy's 11 Shelby will break the tires loose in 1st-4th whenever he punches it. This issue needs to be taken care of with an extra 100hp added. Maybe just some geometry may take care of things but it should be taken care of from the factory. I'm really hoping that it's not just a spin machine.

I agree.
The 0-60 times on the Cadillac cts-v made me angry....given the rear tire size/weight etc.
Im hoping the 13' is dialed in much better.
Im getting the 13' regardless because I love all of the changes/upgrades...but it would be nice for once, not to be forced to
go to the aftermarket to solve heat soak and tire spin/wheel hop.
I have high hopes after seeing what the Boss can do.

650 hp + 285 tires = Fail

I am okay with 285 tires on the GT500. Sounds like the Ford engineers worked the supension over pretty well to get the 2013 GT500 to hook. However, I like wider rear tires and may just get the wider tires and put a 3.73 rear gear in my GT500.

That's funny, because IIRC, the Ford GT does NOT have 285's on the rear (315's I believe) - and it was rated at less hp. I know, the GT has more rear weight bias, but still... "spin machine" could be apt if the changes SVT made to the gearing are not enough to channel all that power through the rear tires effectively.

As long as there is no wheel hop, I can live with tire spin.
