Thoughts on this bumper repaint
So I along with so many others am not happy with the amount of black plastic on the rear of the car... I've been looking at completing the paint much like the super snake - shown in Blue...
Since seeing the Patriot Mustang, I've been thinking of that scheme. Possibly leaving a little black on the rear side seems to continure from the front splitter and side rockers. I'm getting the car in Sterling Gray so the Black would show a bit better than the Kona Blue I think.. Just looking for thoughts and opinions...
Thanks!

I like the way the Patriot bumper was painted. It accentuates the design of the rear bumper without going overboard. Go for it, just make sure you find a shop that can do it and do it right.

I disagree. The ones I've seen painted, especially on brighter colored cars, are very obvious, and make the car look much taller. Call it cost savings, but it does have a visual impact on the side profile when they're painted.

The idea of the lower black paint or plastic is to camouflage how big these cars are. By reducing or eliminating the black sections and matching the paint will make the car not only look its actual size but pimped out as well. As an example, look at the Shelby GT350 and you'll get the idea.
