I'm considering sending my car to Shelby for the SS conversion.

I'm looking for SS owners to give me their impressions of their cars as well as the whole process. Good, bad and the ugly.

Don't try and sell me, I need you to be brutally honest.

I know I can build my car to be better than a SS but it won't be a true Super Snake.

Save your money, and do it yourself. "True Super Snake" means absolutely nothing...

 

Whammer had one converted. Said it was gobs of power. He'd know first hand.

Sorry, late to this thread.

I had a SS. Loved the car, drove great, far more power than is even sane! It's a massive speeding ticket just waiting to happen.

My convert was done here in Canada at a Shelby mod shop. Very happy with quality and work, but that was here so I can't speak to Shelby in Las Vegas.

You'll likely needed to get insurance from a different company than you are currently with. Most companies will not insure modded cars.
