Ordered 2014 GT500: The Wait Begins! Ha!

I was tore up deciding on which color of red, so i let the family vote and decide knowing i would be ok with either so ruby it is, my salesman swayed me into the ruby color as well by pointing out that it will be the only year model to get this color and may add to value later on. After seeing some of the photos of how the ruby color changes and comes alive in the light, i have no regrets that its for me. They also talked me into the white stripe, but i was leaning towards no stripe to be less flashy and figured if i dont want it i can take it off. This is a big step for the 52 year old guy that never had a fast or nice car growing up and has been driving a chevy pickup and a corrolla for a longtime. Im getting close to retirement and buying my retirement ift early!!

Good to hear you have a build date. I ordered my GT500 on the same day you did. Most likely , we will get our GT500 Mustangs in early September. Good to hear Ford is going to produce the GT500 until the end of this year. With the last scheduled 2014 GT500 to built in 2013 going for $ 500000 , I suspect some know we will not see the GT500 offered again in the near future. Those of us who have placed our orders for the 2014 are indeed very fortunate.

I am getting 18-19 mpg which is not that bad for a 5.8! That includes both good and bad driving habits!

So yeah, I am getting at or above MPG.
But I can do 90mph on the interstate and get 18 which is pretty nice.

I can't even go through any of the gears when accelerating and I'm speeding....terribly...
I took one of my friends for a ride the other day and she is like "Gina, you are going to get a speeding ticket!" lol
"Sorry Mr. Officer.....but, it idles at 100......
Wish we had some autobahns in the states!

And when your not doing 100.....the speed limit feels like your crawling!
I also purposely down shift just to here that 5.8 rumble! (all the time) It's simply beautiful!
I love this car!
I also try to have every excuse to drive it too! lol I'm guessing I'm not the only one who does that!

My wait is over. My 2014 GT500 arrived at the dealer Friday night. I will pick up the GT500 tomorrow ! Wahooooo
