One of the reasons I didn't buy a GT500
The GT 500 is truly a dream car. Someday I will buy a used one when the prices go down a bit or when I getting out of paying so much child support. Until then, i will grope the Shelby's, caress them lovingly, and make lusty glances towards them at the dealerships or on roads.
Did you get your 2013 for sticker? Used ones are still around 55k. I did the math, if I got a 2013 for 55k (7% NJ sales tax) and put 40,000 down and financed the rest for 72 months with a 2.9 APR...then yes, my payments would be under $300/month.
I like the 40k down part. Can you spot me?!
the only 2 reasons i didn't buy a shelby are price and because I knew i wanted the thrill of modding the coyote myself over time. I had no illusions about mileage, even with the GT. My ecoboost f150 is my daily driver after all LOL!
Yes, I did. My down payment was higher and my rate was lower (gotta love USAA banking) and for a shorter term.

Mods on the car, and the fact It has recently done 11.08@130....too and from the track 22.1 MPG and that is me at 70~75 most of the way...more like 75.
It depends on your foot on the vertical peddle on the right.

The reason it's 9 miles per gallon is because it only gets test drives with idiots flooring it and driving in stop and go traffic. Not an accurate reflection of true driving habits. However, I averaged about 17 mpg in my 2011 gt500
It needs to be noted that the decent gas mileage is before mods. Yeah, I got 20+ mpg on the way home from the dealership. It won't get 20+ mpg now if I coasted it down every hill I encountered. Of course, there is a silver lining...
i'm sure there is an inverse relationship between MILES per gallon and SMILES per gallon. as one increases the other decreases
If I wanted good mpg I'd get a hybrid or a beater civic. If I were able to get a Shelby mpg wouldn't be considered. The way I see it is this,...if I can afford to buy a Shelby then I can afford another 5-10k on a good mpg reliable Honda or something. If I can't afford another 5-10k then I can't afford a new Shelby. Just how I look at it.
I don't have a Shelby or a special mustang. Just a gt so I apologize if I irritate someone for posting here. I wanted a nice SUV, a muscle car, and a good back and forth to work car. So I got a grand Cherokee overland, a 5.0, and a scion. Ya I know, a scion lmao don't make fun of me too much lol.

No seriously, that's a good idea.

Because even if I did live where it didn't snow, (which I don't unfortunately
), I wouldn't be driving the Shelby everyday and would have a nice reliable daily driver as back-up.
