Well, fair point then. I wonder if the GT-350 is a product of SAI itself or AAI and Shelby is just marketing it?

The production totals will be interesting. Given the price of the '11 GT and the additional cost of the new Shelby, dealers might not jump in the bandwagon as they did with the Shelby GT unless the demand is high from placed orders the new Shelby might be very limited.

Disagree. Though I have seen some with issues, I've seen more SGTs without. The SGT out handles the Bullitt, which is more comfortable to drive due to the softer suspension. If they both had the same rear gear, straight line performance would be about equal.

With all the outstanding Ford and aftermarket resources available for the Mustang, just build your own special edition exactly like you want it then spend the rest of the savings on gas to enjoy driving the heck out of it!
Agree.

I'm really hoping that it is built 100% at Flat Rock, with Shelby just licensing his name for the car. That'll save enthusiastic buyers a good $10K to $20K, IMO, versus shipping a GT to SAI and having them work their "magic" on them.

A cynical bunch, aren't we

Whether it offers good value or not, I'm really looking forward to welcoming another chapter to the legendary Mustang story

I am in the *yawn* group in terms of actually buying it, but still interested to see what it looks like.

I would not be surprised if the MSRP surpasses the GT500's.

Which is just foolish! Some of the V6 conversions they offer will send you north of the MSRP of a GT500 and for what? Not a whole lot.

Id rather have a GT500 over a CS6 or Terlingua - after all, the GT500 and the Cobra are really the only two recognizable Shelby name plates to the general public.

If I rolled up to the gas pump in a 2008 Shelby GT/C-SC nobody would know what the h@ll it is or even care they would simply say "Oh man, thats a Shelby? Is it a GT500?!? Dude I love Gone In 60 Seconds, Eleanor is hot!"

Ditto, if the production rate is what was mentioned above.

It always amazes me how people can/will pay more money for a "lesser" product. I figure it should price between the GT and the 500 as it's positioned between them in the lineup... But I know I'll be wrong on that one...
