Nope, that's the Whipple 140AX (2.3L). The 3.4L would be way too big for an otherwise-stock 5.0L. The 3.4L isn't operating in its efficiency range until it hits about 18+ pounds of boost.

I like it but I know I'll never see one on the road or being raced. Maybe I'll see one at a car show.....if I'm lucky.........I really want to see one being raced hard.....if only on video. That car is meant to run not sit in garages.....but alas that's where they'll be.

That sounds like ***. Sounds like a fart/old Dodge pickup with straight pipes. If that's what the new 5.0 4V engine sounds like with aftermarket exhaust, I'm on my way to get a 2010 right NOW.

Well it looks OK...but you pay out the BUTT for it!! $33,000+ the cost of a new Stang.
Lets break it down:
Body Kit $3000
Brakes $5000
Supercharger $5000
Wheels/Tires $4000
Badges/Stripes
screwed on
gauge pods/etc. $3000
total $20,000
$13000 PROFIT (and I thought our government was greedy)

Absolutely ridiculous -- especially given the cobbled-together, "cheapest route possible" nature of the car.
IIRC, An S281 is $60-$65k, has a unique blower, adjustable coilovers, a watts link, custom upholstery, and a much more complete body kit, and is still $5-$10k less.
Not to mention, the GT500 which is about $25k less and will be about the same weight and hp.

I didn't like the look of it at first but after seeing the video I dig it! I think that when they cover up the rear quarter windows they are maybe going for the 65 GT350 look. I like that this is an option since the rear quarter windows are may favorite part of the S197. The 66 GT350 with the plexiglass windows is my favorite Mustang of all time. I love the grill work but not the splitter, ground effects or lower rear facia. Aside from the lower portion of the rear facia the back end looks the best of all the tuners IMO. Earlier it was stated that this is a concept. Maybe they'll work on some of this stuff.

And, all those numbers seem a bit high to me. I bet it doesn't cost them $14k in parts (Roush's entire kit 427R retails for $17k with brakes). And, I doubt it takes them 100 hours to install everything. And mechanics get, what, $20/hr.? $25? So, it probably costs them $17k installed at most. Making $15k in pure profit.

You can hear it on the Motor Trend video, on the track. It is well known that the Whipple/FRPP kit isn't very loud, especially with a cell phone cam. But that exhaust note is horrible. Does not sound like a Mustang at ALL.

Yeah, it sounds very raspy to me, sort of like Magnapacks with an offroad-X pipe. Those Borla's definitely do not sound like my Borla Stingers.
