The narrow stripes were previously only for the Performance Pack, but the stripes went wide again (for both standard and PP) for '13. For '14, they change again, as the stripes will be gloss (matte for '13).....but still wide.

Well it stacks up like this

2007 GT 4.6L 3v with Saleen SC running approximately 11lbs of boost. Long tube headers off road h pipe and 4.10 rear gears with stock clutch. Dyno 479 RWHP. Estimated 550 hp at the crank. 295 rear tires with 300 tread wear rating.
Wheels smoke with ease. Very strong out of first. Pulls in every gear like a freight train. Car is loud with both whine and screaming exhaust.

2013 GT500 5.8L 4v with TVS SC running 14lbs of boost. Stock exhaust with 3.31 rear gears. Never dynoed but other stock cars dyno about 585 RWHP. Actual 662 hp at the crank. 285 rear tires with 200 tread wear rating.
No idea yet. Have yet to even begin to push it. Rained today so I didn't get any more seat time.

I'll just go ahead and tell you Gary, those tires suck when its gets the least bit cool outside.

And what is really weird is that they pick up every little pebble, but worse when its cold. It can be 100 degrees out and them sticky as hell and you don't hear them get much of anything, but when they get cold (especially below 50) they pick up EVERYTHING. Just a constant ting, tang, ding, clink, etc. coming from the fender wells. You'd think it would be worse when they're hot and soft.

I'm sure you saw that I have driven a 750hp Super snake and if that car is anything like that it will be insane. You so much as sneeze on the throttle the tires go up in smoke. I'm guessing the '13 is easier to drive with the tall gearing and having a 90hp deficiency. Best bet is to roll into the throttle rather than punching it in anything less than 4th gear.

Have a member of your army film the car. I wanna see this thing in action!

Meh

I tend to obsess with my hobbies. First it was golf. Then it was wood working. Then it was home theater and stereos. Then it was golf again. And now Mustangs.

Sheesh. Add duck hunting, scuba diving, rock climbing and snowboarding and you would be the younger version of me. You still have 18 years though. And I dont think I'll ever have that many Musangs and certainly not kids.
