This thing is a VERY big let down. If they would have offered a bare-bones GT with a hopped up N/A 5.0 and great suspension parts and those brakes then it would be perfect. No ground effects, no spoilers, no rear seat. Yes to loud exhaust, 4.10 gears, 450 or so N/A horsepower, 14 inch brakes, and a COMPLETELY reworked suspension.

The only thing I like is the idea of a blower on the 5.0. It will be good for development for Ford.

As anyone who has read the gospel according to Eights knows, I don't like much of the 2010 (& 2011) Mustang's exterior changes except for the rear fender kick-up and the relocation of the antenna stalk. Adding stuff to the 2010 (& 2011) Mustang's exterior--by Shelby as well as anyone else--can't hide the basic flaws in the 2011 (& 2010) "update" of the gorgeous 2005's looks. But I'd take a GT350 without hesitation to possess that magnificent powerplant!

Phuc the looks--I want that engine! I can swap that engine into a 2005 and put the engineless GT350 on blocks in a garage for resale 30 years from now while I drive the living Hell outta the powerplant in the '05. Then swap it back into the GT350 and head off to Barrett-Jackson

OTOH, I ain't got seventy large so what's it matter what I think? It only matters what those with the means & wherewithal think...

Didn't Roush already do this body in 2003????

Honestly Shelby should have used a 2011 V6, installed a supercharger(or Eco-Boost TT), Brembos, Roll Bar, Recaros and Track Pac w/sticky tires. That would be closer to the original GT350...400+HP,lightweight(relatively), great handling(close to 50/50 weight distribution), FAST and more affordable (40,000 or so)
.

This is in the top 3 ugliest Mustangs I've ever seen. The sad thing is that the other two were ricer stangs.

V6 + blower = most likely heavier than GT, and not 50/50.
The V8 is fine, but bump up the rev to 8,000, work some magic and get close to 450hp with some actual engineering. Then drop 150+ pounds, put on some coilovers and forged wheels, and that would be a great GT350 in my book. And still be desirable and profitable at $70k.

8k RPM would require substantial changes to the engine components.

Maybe the price is justified when you divide the premium out by the, what-dozen or so, places his name is plastered on it. That's the most important thing to most of the people who will buy it anyway. I image real Mustang enthusiasts will build their own versions for much less...or wait for Ford's next SE.

In total, this latest SAI creation is just pure "asian boy-racer" to my eyes.

How Funny, I said the same thing in my posts about the GT-350. That Body kit looks like something straight out of a late 70's early 80's JC Whitney catalog, along with the cheap screwed on pillar pod and tacky screwed on round backup lights in the lower bumper. All in allan EPIC FAIL in my book!

Well almost 17% of people so far like the car. That should cover all the sales they need.

HAHAHA I get what your sayin but...

I don't think it is really Jay Leno's type of car, I have seen many shows that have profiled his garage and he really has nothing like that in there. He seams to be more into the unique and odd than main stream

Don't you mean it "ranks down there with these 2 Mustangs"? Ugh, I had the misfortune of seeing the red one up close and personal. Or at least someone on the island thought it looked good and bought a kit.
As for Leno buying one - why should he? He owns the real thing, forget this one. Maybe if he makes jokes about it, his ratings will improve.

Liking it and affording it are 2 different things.
