Do you dig the GT350?
Cause I think you may wind up eatin' those words after the final production hits the street/track and shows us what she's got.
500+HP without the weight of a GT500, handling & braking package, and who knows, maybe the ground effects are real and it will suck to a fast track at speed and beat everything in its class.
Too many assumptions at this point... but I'm not counting Shelby out just yet.
I voted yes.........but I don't love it. I think it'll be a grower and there are some terrific aspects, such as the hood and the rear light treatment.
Worth $70k+? Nope, but perhaps that's not the point of a Shelby anymore.
It's not what I was hoping for, but I'll give it time.

Dig the idea/history behind it, the look is ok -minus the the tacked-on look of the lower fascia, don't like the price...
If it were up to me, I would have used the Brembo brakes in the Ford parts bin instead of Bear brakes to shave $2k-$3k off the price, use a Shelby wheel instead of the Cragar 700/701 Series wheels or even a Ford wheel w/ Shelby logo cap... basically a GT500 w/o the 5.4L unless it was N/A to keep the listed price below a GT500. I guess that's why only market parts instead of cars...

I've no problem with anything except the looks. Even the cost, at this point, is just a "yeah that's what the Shelby name costs" kinda thing. But the car looks like a JC Whitney bodykit from the early 90s. A poor one. I'm really sad about this, but the look of this car is so poor/cheap it really kills the whole package.

I really need to see it in person. First impressions: when I first saw the front end it reminded me of a challenger. I do like the fact it looks more like a fastback. I do like the HP, and I think the functional vents that cool the rear brakes are cool. The hood is starting to grow on me. I don't like where the back up lights are.
Nope, it does nothing for me. Granted the car will sell, but why would I pay close to 60K for something I can build for 40K-45K. The name SHELBY on the rear deck is just not worth that to me.
i dont even like the tailights of the new 2010's and this just makes it so much worse..the headlights and then it looks all squished in the front end..i dont know technicalities but if its 70k its not worth it in my eyes...looking at i dont like it one bit..
I would be surprised if there was any ducting to actually move air from that incredibly tiny slit in the rocker to the brakes. It is one thing to cut a slit in a tacked-on rocker and say it is "functional." It is another for it to actually cool the brakes to any measurable degree.
hell mine with its flat black and red rattle can paintjob and mismatched fender and no grille looks better than this car
its a real shame.. shelby could have finally made a new car that I actually wanted... but they just couldnt do it

(that being said, i like the newer GT500s, but im not madly in love with them. i wouldnt pursue ownership, but if i ever had the chance, i might go for it. thats my stand on them anyhow)
When I first saw it I thought of the Roush 380R also. I kinda line the hood and grill, but that's it.
As for the price - ugh! $33K on top of a new GT? I think I can do much better.
I don't care for the "Sh***" name at all, it's lost all credibility to me.
I'd rather buy a GT and add to it what I like, like I did with my '07.
I can do that for whole lot less than $63K.

I know, I know . . . . .
(but I really do!)
