Close to buying a GT500 - Advice please?

I have been looking at several 2011 GT500's in my area, and I am really itching to get one.
Should I expect to pay close to invoice or do dealers hold you hostage for these bad boys due to the limited production? I was also thinking about waiting 3 or 4 months so that I could save up a larger down payment. Will they be harder to find then?

Thanks for all the info!

Mark

It should not be difficult to find a good deal on a GT500 considering the usual high dealer administrative fee and holdback. Two out of three Ford dealers I contacted were willing to place an order at $1K over invoice.

At first this was true. However production has been much higher then this same time in the 2010 model year. If you want one you'll be able to get it.
