Blue replacement filter for those running a FRPP 750hp Whipple kit
Never liked the red air filter that came with the kit, looked all over for a blue filter with the same dimensions, that didn't have a blanked off end. Finally found one @ AFE.
The filter specs are listed below. This is for the FRPP 750 hp Whipple kit.
.( for a 123 mm MAF housing )
.
6" flange bore
1" flange heigth
7.5" base dia.
8" element height
5.5" top dia............( top is not blanked off )
.
As the filter I have is a " custom " ( prototype ), I am not sure of the pricing. The part # on the invoice, ( 24-99999 ), does not come up on the AFE website search. If you are interested, please use the contact information below:

You know the blue is just dye in the oil. I bought a JLT CAI and it came with Red filter. I bought a $10 AFE re-oil kit with blue oil. I washed out the red oil and re-oiled with blue to change the color.

Good fix & I knew about the dye in the oil.
Do you have a pic of your " after " color change filter, would like to see how it turned out ?

I wouldn't call the stock one paper, but to my knowledge, it's a throw-away, not intended to be cleaned. There are several mfgs. that make blue & or red replacement filters that fit the " stock " CAI.
.
Noticed in your sig that you're running 1 7/8" longtubes, might you have a dyno sheet showing your torque curve after the install ??
When I did my headers, SVT, Kooks, & my tuner all recommended 1 3/4" instead of 1 7/8".. ( & there was no cost difference )
