No idea.
Just saying that while tires help the issue, its not the only solution.

I'd guess though that if its true (power levels) SVT wouldn't just up HP without changing some other things to accomodate.

Perhaps YOU just can't use the power you have? I have no trouble using the 750HP that I have. Obviously you can't just mash the gas pedal to the floor, there is the need for some skill.

I am thrilled to hear the N-Ring GT500 will have a supercharger instead of Turbo. I hope the horsepower will be closer to 700 than 600. Hopefully, this combination will be available by spring 2012.

Well, I know rumors are just that, rumors. I have now seen a few articles state only a 20 hp jump for 2013. One article also claimed they were disappointed it will not have the rumored 620 hp. Not sure what is going on anymore. All I know is if this Shelby does not have the 600+ hp as we were seeing, then I am out for now. That 600+ number sounds so good...650 even better...

You do realize, it's very easy to make 600hp on the current 500. Very easy.

I know. From a marketing point 600+ is the way to go. That is what caught my attention. A tune, pulley, I get it. With the 600+ you would assume some extra suspension (traction) enhancements also. A whole new package etc, not just the hp...

Well, this will keep me interested until we see exactly what is happening. You have to thank GM for this also. Competition is good for all consumers...

The reason I am looking into a 13 or 14 Shelby is simple. I just have a strange feeling I will not like the new design. This old style look sold me. A new modern global look I think will turn me away. Just a feeling I have, that is all...

They may as well make it 1000 hp... It wont be able to put it down any better

It needs like an ACR tire setup...
295/30/18—front, 345/30/19—rear

Being that it's been tuning at Nurburgring it's a good indication the tires will be a better size, I think?

Any more recent information about the 650 horse GT500 ? Will it arrive Summer 2012 ?
