GT500 Community,

I spoke to a Ford research team member yesterday and was given the following numbers:

- GT500s Coupes produced so far -- 4, 032

- GT500 Convertibles produced so far -- 811

-- 84 Red Candy Metallic Convertibles

-- 64 Sterling Grey Metallic

-- 69 Performance White

-- 34 Silver Metallic

-- 43 Grabber Blue

-- 87 Race Red

-- 296 Black

-- 134 DIB

- 674 Convertibles w/ SVT Package

- 651 Convertibles w/ Nav

- 547 Convertibles w/ Shaker Pro

- ?? Recaros (doesn't show as a trackable option for some reason)

The database does not allow multiple options at the same time. In other words, you cant look up how many convertibles have both nag and SVT package :-(

Most of the numbers have to do with convertibles (since that is what I have). Also, I forgot to ask about stripe colors. If I am able to get info on those I will update this post.

Keep in mind these are NOT final production numbers, just what has been produced so far (as of 5 Dec 2012).

 

Looks like we can account for 2 of the 84 Red Candy Metallic.

Thanks for sharing the production data. Data like that just makes my day. Surprised that as many convertibles were produced. I xpected no more than 500 convertibles would be produced for the whole model year.

Our GT500 is performance white, blue stripes, convertible, shaker pro & cover. I'll bet that there were <10 cars built this way. It'd sure be nice to know for sure.

I wonder when Ford is going to update and make the build information available? I want to know how many cars were built to my specs. I'm guessing I have a pretty good chance of owning a 1 of 1 car!

 

I just found the build numbers posted on SVTP. Here is the thread of what they posted there.

Worst case scenario, our car is 1 of 7. And out of a total of 4885 total 2013 GT500s built, that puts ours into the <1% category.

 

The only real way to know how many cars that were built like your is to document every car into a database and do a query on that database. For the GT/CS Registry that I have I can tell each owner how many cars were built like their car since I document each car. I also do an audit on the database based on the information I receive from Ford Performance to make sure I have the correct numbers for each model and color by option. For the 2011+ GT/CS Ford Performance broke down each model and color by option which really is helpful.

Kabooka, that cert doesn't tell me what I want to know. I already know our car is 1 of 67 performance white vert GT500s & that there were 4885 total GT500s built that year.


Still waiting for somebody to put together a database. This car is too new for a Marti report.
