2013 GT500 Pricing announced staring at $54,200

I dont know how easy it would have been and I think it would still be more convient to visit your local dealer but I think it would have gone a long way toward curbing ADMs.
I remeber asking about the GT500 when I picked up my 07 GT, one of the salesmen laughed at me when I asked about MSRP pricing. Told me you couldn't touch a coupe for less than 65k at the time there and pointed to a guy who was leaving and said they cut him a deal on a GT500 vert by knocking 5k off the adm because he bought all his fleet trucks from him.

Saw the 2013 GT500 last night at the Dallas Auto Show. I think you will see how I feel. I see that the black on the rear of the car is a panel, not painted. Just like any other blackout panel.

I could also put my fingers on the edge of the blackout panel and pull it ever so slightly
Away from the sheet metal behind it. Looks good from 5'+
But the said it was a preproduction car. I was happy with the whole front grill. The area around it is sturdy and there are Soft plastic pieces that will direct the air into the radiator and heat exchanger both on the sides and on top and bottom. It looks like it will suck air in like a whale sucks in plankton.

I think they thought it would help with the taillights but it's not necessary. The other problem is the stupid black plastic on either side of the plates. Looks to me like the car needs to be dark or have black stripes for it to look decent.

It's definitely removable. But they could have holes back there to help line it up but I doubt it. I think it's be worth a shot to remove it and it could easily be put back on with 3M tape.

Thanks for the observations. Your last sentence played a part in me eventually choosing black for the color. It's also good to hear about the front end from someone who could put their hands on it. I just need to convince the wife that revving the engine to 5k rpm and sticking the dining room rug in front of the non-grill is just as effective and a much more entertaining way to clean the rug.
The picture I saved as my computer background is of the Grabber Blue car from a 3/4 rear view with the sky backdrop as shown on autoblog.com. The panel between the tail lights is flat black on that car. Looks WAY better IMO.
