Overboost, how can you be so certain there will not be an N-ring edition of the GT500 ? It sure appears Ford was hinting at an N-ring edition by taking a GT500 with a map of Nurburgring on the back to Nurburgring where it would be photographed.
This:
I'm going to take my Mustang to Mid-Ohio, put a sticker on the back, and steal an M-plate, then have someone take spy shots, and we'll convince the masses that they're making a "Mustang GT Mid-Ohio" version...
Yeah, there seems to be some sibling rivalry between Team Mustang and SVT. Only positive things can come of it though.

The SVT team was there for 2 weeks, the cars are probably now in Aachen in the Ford engine test room for "dry test runs". Main purpose was aside rather the PTWA coating test in the new engines under road conditions. As you may know the blocks are made in Germany by Honsel/now ZF.
The stickers are just very popular at the Ring and in my view don't indicate a Ring version anyway. As far as I remember you get a sticker, when buying your tickets for individual runs and the last time I was allowed to join them, the Ford people bought as well "tourist" tickets for 10 runs.

GM always hypes up their products that were developed and tested at N-ring. I would think Ford could trump them by bringing out an N-ring edition of the GT500. There is no more famous road coarse that is so prestiges and known around the world.
Let it go dude, it isn't going to happen.
Le Mans is known for having races for race cars. The Ring is currently being used by automobile manufactures to test and tune their production cars and bench mark their high performance cars against their competition. To have an N-ring special addition would be so easy for Ford to do. All they would have to do is put some decals on the GT500 and sell it with the X-brace from the Boss and offer it with the PP suspension package. They could even put the winglets on the front end.
Le Mans was already offered by Pontiac, so that would not fly.

Sounds like as good a reason as any to make a 5.8L Roadrunner, although I dont think Ford would call it a Cobra.
