And as far as the 2013 GT500 not being a Cobra, it's strange that Cobra is mentioned 9 times in the 2013 GT500 Source Book and the Cobra symbol is on all four sides of the car and many times in the interior.

lol
So, Ford is celebrating 20 years of SVT by introducing the 650 (sic) hp GT500, but they did not have a 20th Anniversary model, per se. Years of production ending in a "0" or "5" don't make it a special model. SVT did have a limited number of 10th anniversary Cobras (unique wheels, badging, etc.) that were produced in addition to the regular Cobras built in 2003. However, no 2013's were built as anniversary models on top of the regular GT500's, so I say there is NO 20th anniversary GT500.

From media.ford.com:
In honor of SVT’s anniversary, a commemorative lighted sill plate will be used in the 2013 Shelby GT500 to celebrate the many years of performance vehicles.

Remember the 1999 Mustangs when every single one of them had the "35 years" fender emblems, yet there were only a few thousand that were the actual 35th Anniversary models (unique guages, interior, hood, wheels, etc.)? Or how about the same issue in 2004 when Ford put "40 years" fender emblems on every single V6 & GT Mustang built that year, yet only a couple thousand were the actual 40th Anniversary model with the Arizona Beige wheels, stripes, dash emblem, etc.? It pains me when someone with a '99 or '04 Mustang calls their car an "anniversary" model when it isn't the limited edition package that Ford offered that year. I suspect it will be the same in 2014.5 when Ford does a 50th Anniversary Mustang by offering a few thousand "special" cars, while the other 100,000 or so built will simply have a badge mentioning 50 years, but everyone with a regular one will call it an anniversary car.
