If you order a 14, there is no guarantee that you will get it before this time next year. This doesn't mean that won't luck out and get one in Apr or May.
The dealership I work for was only allocated two '13 GT500's originally. Our region called a few weeks back and offered us an "extra" allocation. That car is serialized, scheduled, and due to arrive before Christmas. We got an extra '13 Boss 302 allocation, as well, and that one is serialized, scheduled, and due to arrive in January. Apparently, Ford held off on allocating the entire '13 run of GT500's & Boss 302's just in case there were issues as the model year draws near. No issues, so Ford is currently giving out those remaining few allocations.

What are the chances of changing an order that has already been assigned a VIN and build week but no window sticker? If the order can be changed, what are the limitations?

A color change is what I had in mind. I have a chance to take over a 2014 order. The guy that ordered the 2014, wanted a 2013 but wasn't able to find one. But he would consider swapping with me if the color could be changed. Other than the color, both cars have the same options.
One big problem is the possible long wait before the 2014 is scheduled.
When you ordered your 2014's, did Ford give you any indication of when they may be scheduled?
Thanks for your help.
