And I love how they think that this Shelby is only in response to the ZL1 being announced last March. Do they even have a clue as to how long it takes to put a new engine package together? Yeah, all the testing and validation has somehow miraculously been done in 8 months. This car was coming with this much power since before the Boss 302 was announced.

 

WOW ! 650 ponies in the 2013 GT500 ! Ford really blew me out of the water with the announcement of 650 Horespower for the 2013 GT500. I was hoping for well over 600 horespower and they delivered. I for sure will purchase a 2013 GT500. No one would go wrong selecting the Boss or GT, both have more new features that wiil make each one desireable. It is a good time to be a Mustang Fan.

 

A 200mph Mustang. That was something I was most certainly not expecting to see. Of course, I like it. Anybody else notice that the 'vents' on the side of the grille opening on the GT500 are the same ones that we saw peeking out from beneath the camo on the front of the mules for the 2010 GT500!?!?!? If I'm not mistaken some thought that those were going to be turn signals in the grille opening back then.

 

The 2013 Super Snake is going to be interesting.

Shock and disbelief seems to be the most common type of comment.

 

I was browsing through earlier as well and all they keep talking are irrelevant things like how fords are unreliable, sales numbers or one thread "sky is falling" talking about performance doesn't matter etc and how ZL1 should be a monster.

 

The question I have is ; If the 2013 GT500 is capable of going over 200 mph, is the speed going to be electronically limited ?

 

I read somewhere (don't remember now) that "the 155mph limiter was removed" for the ring run...

I am speechless... I was very very close to picking up a 2012. But now with this news I just don't know what to say. The revised reared looks so much better.

Anybody have any thought of an earlier than normal deliveries?

When exactly is the expected delivery time? roughly? I don't even remember when the 2012 started showing up.

 

From what I've been able to find, the order banks open on 12/15 with availabilty from a dealer in the spring. Typically they send dealer stock before customer orders from what I understand. That way the suckers pay the $10K+ ADM to take one off the floor and the rest of us who have ordered have to wait until summer to take delivery.

Or you can order a Challenger SRT8 for around invoice and take delivery just north of 10 weeks lol.

I will be able to get it through Military car sales for just under MSRP, I'm concerned with production...i get back mid February then redeploy first week of April

Like for like from '12 to '13 I'd say we're looking at a $4K price bump.

His denial is so strong and it keeps him thinking that it can't be real.
