Carroll Shelby had nothing to do with this car, much like the GT500.

You know, those stripes do make me wish we had Guardsman Blue in the 2011 color roster. I always have liked that color.

Looks like a cheap, cobbled-together aftermarket job, looks like a real amateur-hour to me. A lot of "styling" going on, but rather poorly integrated and executed. It will probably appeal to the "more is better crowd."

It seems the dealers are not interested in making a kill or perhaps they learned their lesson.

Or for those who need to be reminded frequently by the 39 emblems on which car they have.

Doesn't anybody like this even a little? I think it's the best looking "Shelbed" S197 Mustang I've seen. Now lets see what kind of quality they put into it..

I like what they did with the rear taillights and deck panel. I hope they have one without the emblem... I wonder if any company is going to make a ducktail spoiler that incorporates the rearview camera?

I also like the front grill. There's something about the front fascia of 2010 Shelby GT500 that reminds me of the latest version of the Mistubishi Lancer Evo. I think the best looking Shelby for the sn197 was the 07 - 09 years. That front end just looked badass to me.

You can see it now on the released pics of the showcase model. The hood, the rear wheel air vents on the rocker panels, the rear spoiler. None fit properly. Those who buy it will just have to live with it.

The door handles look fine, the rest, total amateur hour.

This looks more like a bad trailer-park-trash effort than a professional endeavor, just a clumsy mash-up of bad performance styling cliches.

During the brief time I spent on the TS forum, I read about a guy who had a Shelby GT and they couldn't even figure out how to keep the hood scoop on (after like 4 attempts). Now, imagine how Shelby will do with a half bumper and a whole hood. If they can't make the show car look good (fitment-wise, regardless of aesthetics), is there really much hope the production car will be better?

Look at the bright side.

There are no complaints of the Shelby GTs' front grills attached to the Ford's OE grill falling off. Those tiewraps are A1 quality.

Well when you get the tie wraps with the metal insert, your sure to do a good job at holding things together.

I like the front grille, hood and the ducktail. I think the front and rear fascia could have been executed better though.

Anyone consider the fact that this IS a pre-production prototype? The body parts on this particular car are basically one-off hand made pieces. Not saying the production parts will look any better but I think it would be wise to wait until we see an actual production quality car before making a bunch of comments about fit and finish. Also worth considering is the fact that this car is not being marketed towards 22 year old Mustang enthusiasts. It is aimed at the collector car market. I am not saying I like it or that I think it is worth the price, just saying people need to consider what this car is and is not.

It's a foul looking pile. I can't fathom how anyone would take this over a GT500. But there will be a few people with bad enough taste and a thick enough wallet for the huckster to move a few of these.

Love the body mods! Finally the bumper look better, especially the rear. Love the retro back up lights, the new tail light look, the duck tail spoiler, the grill surround... Overall, the body mods are a home run! The hood stripe sucks, don't leave gaps around the hood scoop and lose the number on the hood. Wrap the stripe all the way to the bottom of the car in the rear too.

Nearly triple the price of a GT is insane though...
