I really love this car. Looks really good in this color. Wheels look better against the silver too. I wish I could afford one.

Yeah, I wasn't digging those wheels too much when I first saw them in the initial "spy" pics. I really like them now that I've seen the official pictures and videos.

The rear end to me looks a lot better. Not sure if it's with the addition of the gurney flap or not, but it appeals to me more.

I'm loving Ingot Silver. It looks really nice, and I usually don't care for silver cars. I'm loving the new wheels and stance of this car. It just looks beefy. The stripes have even grown on me, but I think I'd just remove them.

The 2010 has the gurney flap too. The rear end is identical so I am not sure how it "looks better" to you.

2010:

A lot of people are talking about the gurney flap being a "new" addition when it is not. Per Ford if you don't believe me:

One of the new tunable components on the new Shelby GT500 is the addition of a wicker bill or “Gurney Flap” on the rear. Introduced by racing legend Dan Gurney nearly 40 years ago, the Gurney Flap is essentially a tunable element on a low-drag spoiler. On the 2010 Shelby GT500 it sticks up about 6 mm and is positioned at a right angle to help create downforce. Tuning options include using Gurney Flaps of different heights or removing it altogether.

Not sure what it is then but something seems different. Maybe it's just my eyes wanting to see something different or it's the stripes. Either way I like it.

You may be on to something... The thin stripe does change the "look" a bit.

I think they mean that the already existing Gurney Flap is now adjustable.

I think the reality is that if you want the Gurney flap you have to order the SVT PP. The regular GT500 no longer has it.

The thin stripes look absolutely horrific. WTF was Ford thinking?
