Seriously, where do people come up with this stuff? There is going to be NO Mach 1 produced from Ford. And if they did they certainly would not use a NA 5.4. It's days are seriously numbered. The 5.0 makes way more power than the 5.4 ever would NA and gets way better gas mileage. There are only two things the 5.4L is good at, handling boost (and quite well) and a boat anchor.
Now stop creating internet lies based on pipe dreams.

hahaha
Seriously though, my word isn't worth spit

That isn't really indicative of a revived model coming soon, though. Lest we forget what happens when a company fails to protect a moniker from its past. See: Ford GT40. Who's to say there won't EVER be another Mach1? It behooves Ford to continue to protect the past, for the sake of the future.
A Mach I could make sense, with either a 5.4 or 6.2, and positioned more as a street bruiser / stop light racer in contrast to the Boss 302's race course persona. My guess, were a Mach I come to be, would be the 6.2 in Raptor tune or a bit more, maybe even up around the Boss's 440hp range. The motor's character would, of course, be rather different, more the low-mid rev torquer than the Boss high rev screamer.
5.4???? Why would they want to do that when they've got a perfectly awesome 6.2 that would be alot more in character with a Mach. Just imagine 450hp with 430 ft/lbs of torque with enough power under the curve that a M6 trans would accurately be described as superfluous. Ford wouldn't even have to do an aluminum block since its all about brute acceleration.
I still don't think it's out of the question regardless of what other people think they know. With the moves Ford is making these days, I'm not ruling anything out.
If it wasn't a 2013 S/E, I could also see it as a replacement for the GT500 when the next model comes out. It could make a good replacement as the top of the line brute with all the bells and whistles.

OK TN....Now that the Boss is out, is the Mach something realistic, or should I just place my order?
