Let me know if ya'll end up buying it, and need Maximum Motorsports full-length, weld-in sub-frames. I bought some for my '93 project (which I've since sold), and would sell them for $80 (still in the box).

I also have a MM front swaybar(still in box), and all poly-bushings by Energy-Suspension (also, still in box).

I just wonder how quick can I go with just a diet, water pump, delete plates, and Nitrous? I would say low 12's. I think in current trim the car is good for 12.8 in really mineshaft air. So with a 75 shot and the other pieces I mentioned I think low 12's are more than possible. I would say maybe 12.5-12.3

I think a 75 shot should be safe. Depends alot on if you use a wet system or a dry system. With the wet system the mix of fuel and nitruos has to be spot on. I think the dry system might be safer? I am going to do some heavy research on this one before I just jump in and get one. But for under 600 bucks and dang near as fast as a SC with a little inconvienience to refill the bottle (unless I go twin bottles) which I might?

Nitrous has always been an awesome form of unnatural aspiration. And it's really no less safe than SC or Turbo-charging (perhaps even safer - power-for power, as it provides its own natural cooling effect). You just HAVE to make sure that you have the system in place to ensure that fuel is added as nitrous is added. It's the combo of too much O2 (oxide), and not enough fuel, that kills engines.

You could probably get away with a 100 to 125 shot, so long as the computer knows what's going on. I just don't know how the new computers will act with increased O2; how they will increase the fuel.

If mine was strictly a track car, I'd almost always go with NO2 over anything else (save turbo), for the cost-effectiveness. If I were made of money, I'd just build a sick motor, put a big single, or medium dual-turbos, and call it a day.

Oh if money weren't an object the things I would do........

I am seriously considering the 75 shot. I think I can trust that power level to not explode my motor. Best of all I think with a little luck I can get low 12's with this combo and a car diet.

Heh, that's what *I* need to do, but don't see it happening :P

I want to re-install my amp/subs, and run sub-12.7's. If I can accomplish that, I'll be happy with this street car.

Then I'll be looking for another 87-93 to Foxrod out

Yeah, I'm having the same visions, but I'm a good 16 years from having a twerp that could drive it. Nothing to say I can't buy, and start building it the correct way now though Save the fun parts for a kid that will enjoy it.

Besides, it's gettying REALLY hard to find a candidate for a proper build up. Most cars are absolutely thrashed. Seems there were many more LX-style cars built (both 5.0 and 2.3). I'm not a big fan of the hatch-back non-GT cars (like the GT hatchback, not a fan of the no-ground-effects cars). But, then again, you can change any of the hatchbacks to look like a GT or Cobra or LX, depending what you like.

I want to build either a Cobra clone (but better, of course), or find a nice straight $500 Coupe, and drop a sick engine/tranny combo, and make it 100% slick.
