New house! (pics soon to follow)
When I was out at the tech day, I mentioned that I had been in the market for 5+ months, looking for a house to buy. I had several criteria, but not sure I mentioned any of them to anyone.
I was looking for a 3+ bed, 2.5+ bath, 2+ car, 2 story, 2K+ sq ft house, built after 1975, and less than $130K. I have been looking off an on for nearly a year, but very seriously for the past 6 months. I finally found my house!
I found a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath (two full baths with tub and shower), oversized 2 car, 2 story, and 2300 sq ft. It was built in '75 (so needs some interior remodeling). I got this place for $40K LESS than my looking-for price!!!
My next 3-4 weeks (July) is going to be me closing on the house, gutting it, redoing all flooring and the paint on the walls (couple dry-wall repairs in there as well), and moving. I'm in my apartment here through the end of this month, but I'll be dual-living.
When I'm all finished, I'd LOVE to host a party for fellow club members. I won't be able to do a tech day here (don't have air tools), but we could do a 'small' tech-type-day if we're only doing in-driveway stuff.
I have a large yard, and a basketball court. I have a large room at the front of the house that needs a pool table or some such, if anyone wants to donate one :P I also have a very large 2nd-story deck, bult for partying![Smile](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I'm so STOKED about this place. I found it only a week or two after I saw ya'll out at Pauls. I had actually seen this place before, put a bid on it the same day I saw it, and it was already sold. The guy that bid on it lost his job, it went back on the market on a Wednesday, I saw it on Thursday, and there were 4 bids on it on Thursday evening when I put mine in. I actually did something I've never done before (and I've bought several properties) - I bid above the asking price.
The interior needs some remodeling - all new carpet and tile on the way, and paint will go on, but I got an absolutely SICK deal on this place.
Sorry to go on about it - I know, not Mustang related. But I now have a REAL garage, instead of a parking garage, to park my baby in, and a new stall to park another Mustang in
In the meantime, my GF's Focus will keep it warm until I get the new stallion

ConGrats! I went thru this in 2003 when I built my new house, I was the only one on my block for 7 months and talk about parties we had! Plenty of parking, 4 wheelers everywhere, and no I am down to the empty lot behind my house which is for sale.

I close on the place tomorrow morning. Then it's a thrash-fest to get the flooring and walls redone. The kitchen and bathroom remodelings will have to wait (that's going to be a bit more than I'm ready to spend right now, but all are working, just not pimped-out) I can't wait!!!!!
The addy is 2905 140th E Ave, the FAR EAST of Tulsa, over by where the old Eastland Mall was located. There's nothing behind my place, it's all woodland. I have a feeling that BA will back up to my backyard in another 5-10 years.
Gimmie July and a week or so in August to get it fixed, and then we'll have another place to host get togethers.
