Are you sure that wasn't just a Discovery Scuba or straight Scuba cert. That's a pretty good price. Too good to be true. Especially for Maui.

Discovery Scuba: is a shallow (no more than 20ft) dive with and dive pro (Dive Master or Instructor)
Scuba Cert: Pretty much same as an open water cert. but you MUST dive with a dive pro.

Yeah, $90 can't be an open cert with PADI. It costs way more than that especially since on vacation it is a 5 day course. I got certified in Kauai.

Yes. It's my favorite type of diving. I love to wreck dive. Especially the wrecks that were not sunk on purpose. Love to study the history behind it. Some wrecks have some really neat stories. Still looking for the one with the gold....

Yep.. The mighty O. The USS Oriskiny. It's the aircraft carrier that John McCain flew off off right before he was shot down. It's the largest man made reef/ship even sunk on purpose. The top sits at 60ft and the flight deck is at 130ft. Anything below the fight deck you need a tech rating. Wanted to do a guys weekend road trip this summer to dive but, when I broke my foot, that ended that.
