not to sound terribly stupid but what are the delete plates for and why. One more Q do UDPs really make a difference?

Charge Motion Delete Plates.... under your upper intake plenum there is a plate on each side with butterfly valves...they open and close with the throttle...they are supposed to help with emissions during Idle I believe. The buttlerflies do not open all of the way when at Wide open throttle and just being in the intake runner create a blockage.....delete plates are essentially the same plates but without the butterflies. Adds roughly 7-10rwhp in the upper RPM range...so you can book scoot and boogie

Now that could be interesting. I wonder how many of these inner city kids we could rid the world of with some of those. If they don't shoot each other they would just as likely shoot themselves trying to answer.

Man that's grim news. I never had the opportunity to meet Boyd. I always hoped I would be able to.

I went by Coddington's hot rod shop in La Habra last time I was out in California - it was closed at the time. Very non-descript looking place and small frontage on the main road, but you could see it extended forever in the back. (Gates were locked so I wasn't able to go snooping around back there.)

I would imagine the company would continue via his wife or kids. Royalties alone should keep the company going. What a loss. He didn't look sick when he was in Tulsa this summer. The cause of dead has not been released.
