Hey Doc... I gave my foot 5 days of rest... it felt fine on the 5th day. I ran on it last night... made it about 5miles before it got aggrevated again to the point I had to walk and baby the foot. I wake up this morning the foot feels fine (I do feel soreness when I walk..but nothing big). Im worried that this wont go away before the race on the 27th. I cant take off of running another week...I wont be ready. Suggest anything? Or can we just shoot me up with something before the race??

go to the gym, and do leg presses, and calves and maybe some squats,,, but not to heavy, just train maybe twice, then run on the treadmill, and that will strengthin up your legs for the race! believe me, your slowing down one of two reasons, 1- you dont have enough strength in your legs to keep going, 2- you dont have that much indurance... indurance is what keeps you going without getting tired, kind of like testosterone... thats MO

Or you can screw the run and just leave for Eureka with the rest of us.

Ran Varsity Track and Cross country in high school... I know how to get prepared for a race. Indurance isnt the problem my lungs will carry me. Legs need a little more work but are fine... its the tendon in my right foot that is keeping me from running

you may have to lay off the run this year, we could inject you like i discussed with you at pauls, i would do it in the next couple of weeks to see how much help it will be. most likely even if it helps it will come back before the race, if you could train on a bike or something where you aren't stressing your foot you could let it rest. the rest is the most important thing.

What if I just bear the pain during training and get injected like 3 days before the race?
