Super Snake on the ground
I got a ride in the orange SuperSnake 2 weeks ago. "Only" 605 HP.
All I can say is HOLY Sh**!!!
Unbelievable acceleration. Even after 70 mph, the thing just squats down, spools up, and you are GONE. Its like you're almost bending light waves
--that fast!!!
When I got a ride in it and we went through the cones "at speed" (cannot comment on the exact speed, sorry, but suffice to say we came into them scary-fast). It cornered so well that my knees were sore from the banging they took against the sides of the interior (not kidding).
Also, you almost get put through the windshield when you slam the brakes. It stops that fast.
As for the warped hood, the red one is prototype #1. First everything. I am sure they will address that. I can tell you that I was totally impressed with the performance- and fit and finish- of the orange one (Prototype #2). It rocks!!!!!
PS- If you are buying this car, I would assume you don't really care about gas mileage, right???

At first instance, I did not expect that. (Until 130 was creeping up on the Speedo) This is on stock GT500 suspension. I can only imagine how much better it would handle with the modified suspension.
Crispy, thanks for the info. and pics. will be appreciated.

The difference between the KR and the SS is that the KR is done through Ford where as the SS is just a GT500 that you have to buy and then send to Shelby to have the make it an SS. The differences include the SS having more hp and possibly a different blower for the higher hp option. It also has a different hood fromt the KR. The KR is going to be sold at dealerships and has a more '68 Shelby looking hood. That's pretty much the short and skinny of it.
There are differences actually,
The KR hood is different, the stripes are different as well, the splitter is different. Power and handling wise it's completely different. also 18inch wheels, SS20" wheels.
SS power, brakes, wheels, stripes, hood, window scoops, carbon rockers, mirror covers and splitter, air ducts for front and back. side scoops.
As stated the red was the first car, we built it all by hand.
