A friend on another site, works just up the road from the Shelby Complex. Their Trailer was having generator problems so they took it over to his shop to be checked out. Well, they had to roll out the cargo to fix the generator today. This is Serial no. # 001. Driver of the rig told him this thing has 750 HP.

Fuel door is there.. not easy to see with the reflections on the side though.
hood IS warped. you can tell by the clearance against the driver side fender.
my CS6 hood is warped that way too.. i guess it's a design feature for all their fiberglass hoods

Dont worry at over 100 MPH I bet it flattens right out! Id love to have that picture on the rig as a mural in my garage!

 

Not sure about other fiberglass hoods but +1 on the warp for my CS6 hood as well. I am going to try to shim the fenders this weekend to see if I can get it to look right.

I wonder if someone over at SAI is in hot water for letting those pics get snapped.

I got a ride in the orange SuperSnake 2 weeks ago. "Only" 605 HP.
All I can say is HOLY Sh**!!! Unbelievable acceleration. Even after 70 mph, the thing just squats down, spools up, and you are GONE. Its like you're almost bending light waves --that fast!!!
When I got a ride in it and we went through the cones "at speed" (cannot comment on the exact speed, sorry, but suffice to say we came into them scary-fast). It cornered so well that my knees were sore from the banging they took against the sides of the interior (not kidding).
Also, you almost get put through the windshield when you slam the brakes. It stops that fast.
As for the warped hood, the red one is prototype #1. First everything. I am sure they will address that. I can tell you that I was totally impressed with the performance- and fit and finish- of the orange one (Prototype #2). It rocks!!!!!

PS- If you are buying this car, I would assume you don't really care about gas mileage, right???

 

How did you get to ride in it? Where are the pics?

Window scoops are supposed to be available, whethere or not they are going to look like those pictured I'm not sure. They are supposed to be available soon according to AmyB.

 

Nice to see quality is job 1 on a $26,000 conversion.

 

Looks to me like it has a fuel door.
As for the warped hood, we're talking about a Shelby, that's one of the things that makes them special.
