Well, there are still parts and a couple of cars around but there are so many other platforms I want to build....and unfortunately the bills don't get paid with the Mark VII stuff. I do have some much cooler stuff in the works though .

Soda blasting is FAR better than sand blasting....when you sand blast something like a car there are a lot of concerns...one being getting all the sand out which is nearly impossible. Another is that sand is extremely aggressive and causes heat which will warp sheetmetal....sand will also harm anything it comes into contact with.....

Soda blasting can be done to a car with all the glass, chrome and rubber still in it....it will not hurt any of that. It also does not create the heat that can warp sheetmetal, is environmentally friendly(it's just basically baking soda) and the dust blows off or washes off. Another benefit....this was done yesterday outside during heavy rain(had a tent over the blaster but not the car)...yet there is no flash rust on the car at all from being wet....the soda leaves a film which protects the metal. All you do is wash the panels off with dishwashing soap and water before you are ready to apply the primer.

This is the way to go in my opinion and makes sandblasting obsolete unless you have something heavy like cast iron or thick steel that you need blasted....but for a car, nothing beats this process!

Yes it has unfortunately, we have made some small steps forward but we've been buried in the shop. We have a couple more things to do underneath and it will be ready to roll into the paint booth.....
