White/gray spots on "top of door" trim

OK, did a search first but no help. I've had my 07 for about three weeks and have noticed that after a rain or wash, there are spots on the the weatherstrip/trim piece where the top edge of the door & window meet.

I've tried applications of Back to Black & Zaino Z2 but the spots continue to reappear. BTW, the same trim pieces on my 05 have never done this.

Anyone else seen this problem? Is there a cure? I'm almost thinking that it has something to do with the junk (TephSeal) that the dealer applied to the car (what a mess!). TIA!

had this on my 06, I think. I first used rubbing alchol to try and clean them and then used back to black and a toothbrush with light brushing. mine were gone after that. Though without a pic I can't be sure.
