I think the tires are fine, as they were good with the factory wheels. I just spoke with the manager of my local DT. They contacted Konig, and Konig is going to sent some hub centric rings to see if that will solve the issue. Hopefully they will as I like the wheels, and ordered have some Mustang center caps that are on the way. I'll keep everyone updated. I have to give props to Discount Tire. They were quick to jump on the problem, and Brian the manager at my DT said they will make it right if this doesn't solve the vibration.

[QUOTE=m05fastbackGT;7071656]I also really like the look and design of the OEM 18" Bullitt wheels as well.. If only they had been available in 18x9.5" sizes? I would've purchased a set in a heartbeat.. In the end, I purchased a set of OEM 2007-09 Shelby GT500 wheels from a friend of mine who no longer needed them after his GT500 Super Snake package option was completed by Shelby Automotive..
There's a very huge difference when it comes to spending $2k and above for superchargers, suspension or full exhaust systems, but I highly doubt you'll come across lots of folks on this forum who have actually forked over $2k or higher for just a set of custom wheels..
I'll just put it this way, I don't recall from memory coming across posts from members here on TMS who forked over $2k for a set of wheels, but if they did? Then I honestly just don't remember [/QUOTE

My son loves the vintage look so much that he is getting a set of these AR215’s built in an 18” diameter and 9.5” width for his 2008 Saleen Dan Gurney. In addition to a more precise fit for the S197 body and brakes, the custom-made wheels also feature a forged wheel barrel (cast center) for much better strength.
Thanks for sharing.
By the way, I have a like new set of polished 18” Bullitt style wheels from my 2007 Shelby GT that have nice tires on them for only $995 for the set. Shipping nationally is $295 if anyone is interested.

Update: Sorry for the late update, but you know how busy one can get. The hub rings solved the problem, and the vibration is gone. Kudo's again to the folks at DT. Now, this is where it gets crazy. The more I looked at the wheels, the more I didn't like what I was seeing. I gave it awhile to see if I could get used to the look, but that just didn't work. I just can't "like" the look the wheels give the car. I ask the wife for her honest opinion, and she was the same. So, I decided I would just pull them, and sell 'em. I found a set to run until I could decide what I wanted, if that is possible. The mind is a dangerous thing. Just looking around for something to hold me over, I found these for sale on FB marketplace. Luckily the guy lives approx. 15 miles for me. They are surprisingly in great shape. When I contacted the seller, he offered them to me for 300 bucks as he was ready to just get them out of his garage. Heck, they look so good I may just stop with them, and be done with the whole wheel debacle I have foist on my big ol' dumb self. BTW, he says the tires of several years old, whatever that means. If they aren't to old I'm gonna sell them to one of the "used tire" stores in town for whatever I can get.

Those are nice looking rims. Just dump those old Pirellis. I wouldn't sell them not knowing the history behind them (patches, hard curb hits, potholes, etc...).
I sure have liked these Goodyear Exhilarate tires on my 2014. They are just like the Michelin Pilot Sports. Expensive, but so nice!!
