Warranty Blues

I have has my 06 Mustang over two years now with numerous problems now the dealership refuses to fix current problems. I have had issues with leather pealing, seat track went out, brakes locked up, shaker 1000 went out three times, and i have had fill up and gas gauge issues that have yet to be fixed. My days of owning Mustangs may be over if Ford does'nt do something about this. Has anyone else had this problem?

Not sure how they can refuse to fix something thats still under the 3/36 warranty (unless you have over 36000 on the car right now). MIGHT want to try another dealer - and/or give Ford a call 1-800-392-3673(FORD)

+1 on that. Sounds to me like your dealer doesn't have a clue about service.

Is there something we're missing? You've had so many things go wrong that the dealer is now refusing to fix them?

Is there a Lemon Law in your state? Maybe you can force the issue and have the car covered under state law.

Just a thought.

I am looking into the lemon law, even though I still love my car.

did you yell at any one over there?? I would call the ford number listed above and let them know whats going on. If they don't help you then call a lawyer. How long have you owned your car?

Have they worked on the same problem repeated times? I believe the lemon law may not be easy to invoke unless they've worked to correct the same problem numerous times without success.

I believe lemon laws vary from state to state. In some states, its not necessarily the same problem being worked on as much as it is the amount of time the vehicle has been out of the onwers possession at the dealership over a specific period of time.

Never hurts to check it out

I talked to the dealer principal last night he assured me that he would fix my car and did'nt know why his service manager and Ford have told me this. He was really nice and I actually trust him. Maybe these issues will be resolved w/o any other conflict.

Try Another Dealer!

My roof had to be replaced ($6K job) and the dealer I normally go to said I had to go to the selling dealer (200 miles from where I live now) becasue it was too big a repair. I went to another dealer in my area and they replaced it without any problem.

I previously encountered a similar problem with rust on me Escort, the first dealer said that it wasn't covered under warranty. The second dealer replaced the door without question. (same dealer who replaced my roof.)

So you might find that some dealers are better at covering warranty work.
