trip odometer misreads?
something kinda odd, noticed it like twice now, might have happened more without noticing...I always jot down miles (both trip and total) at fillups, and without looking thru reciepts, only know of twice its done this:
live 5 miles from my favorite Sunoco station, once pulling into the driveway at home, trip odometer said 0.1? one other time leaving for work in the morning noticed 0.5 or something...both times i looked at my total it was up 5 from the reciept...so the odometer seems to never screw up, just wondered if anyone else had ever noted misreads like this. the button dont stick/seems to work fine, but it seems that either its holding zero or resetting itself- miles/tank always fill up around 200, near E its always around 250, so it must only do it like the first drive after reset, but still, thought it was odd.
thoughts?
EDIT- just thinking, I've reset it pulling out from the station sometimes, and the .1 might be up the driveway...maybe it dont start ticking off numbers until after you stop if its hit while moving...might try tomorrow and see if that could be it. no big deal, just would like to know...

It wouldn't suprise me if it's off a little bit, or has other glitches. Mine resets every 1,000mi...Not sure if it's supposed to or not. And when it resets, it's usually off by a fraction of a 10th compared to the odometer. And sometimes it beeps when I press buttons, and sometimes it just doesn't feel like beeping. It seems there was still a few bugs to work out back in the day.

in my edit, I didnt mean it was off a little bit- it was off near 5 miles, but my driveways near 1/10 long, the time it was 1/2 mile displayed might have been if i stopped for someone turning or something... just thinking perhaps it didnt start counting until the car stopped...next time I think about it, I'll test resetting while moving, see if thats what caused it...
think theyre only 4 digit (including tenths), so that would explain rollover at 1k
